Great house - WCI does the upgrades you want during the build and it was worth the wait. Personal suggestion DO HAVE THE PRIVATE home inspections when offered!! Gives you peace of mind and it's a 2nd/3rd set of experienced trades person independent analysis. Lastly WCI follow up AFTER closing - this is an area that NEEDS IMPROVEMENT BADLY!

Overall experience has been pretty good. Don’t like how limited you are with the builder doing anything outside the norm. For the money you pay you should have more options available.
star-rating The fact that they do not honor their warranties. I have only lived in this house for 4 months and it has a leaky roof which has damaged my ceiling and other things. Our stove was not hooked up, No laundry sink installation. Not water hose for refrig.
There is no way on planet earth that I could do that!, I have lived here 4 months and warranties and petitions for help go unanswered.

Most concerns with the construction and state of the home were addressed before closing, but excuses were given when we asked for other flaws to be repaired. Four months later we are seeing a lot of things needing repair (pavers in the driveway lifting, caulk needing to be redone on most cabinets, nails coming through ceiling, floors creeping, etc.) Still waiting on these repairs.

Pros: Good support team, nice layouts, nice neighborhood. Cons: Most of the interiors are not symmetric, ceiling lights throughout the house are not in line with each other. Living room, kitchen ceiling lights are not inline, they are just their. Dining table lights are way off from the dining space. Dimmer lights are provided in kitchen and not in Living room. AC vents and exhaust could have been planned better. You have boxed ceiling in master bedroom with AC vents, fire alarm etc in it. There is so much space outside the box to put all these stuffs and keep box ceiling for other designs. Looks like construction manager and workers did not have access to measuring tape. ... More
star-rating The things you notice after you move in are overwhelming and disappointing.
Our home is fine, we have just had issues and noticed so much work that was finished in a very sloppy manner, trades who came in late had no respect for other peoples work, we ended up having overspray paint everywhere, deep scratches on glass where stucco was stuck to the glass and scraped off leaving deep gouges, Under size breakers that keep tripping, Appliances that were installed incorrectly and we had to pay GE to come in to correct the installs. Chipped tiles installed on shower floors, and shower walls, loose faucets, huge gaps in trim that were caulked and looks very unprofessional. We had a beautiful spray painted stairs, then we they came to stain the stair treads they got stay all over the painted railings and risers and then repainted the stair with brushes and rollers. Starting to notice joints in the ceilings drywall, and they don't properly install roof sheathing as it's starting to expand and show every joint through the shingles. We send in a service list at least once a week for something. Oh, and our garage floor was so incorrectly painted they have to come in and do it over. Poor craftsmanship in my opinion. I build roads and bridges for a living and we're held to much high quality control and quality assurance. They're building these houses too quickly and scopes of work are being done out of correct sequencing that cause more issues down the road. Not sure we'd sign up for this again. ... More

sales personnel excellent and attentive, construction manager very responsive and caring, customer care before corona moratorium very unresponsive and the worst communication. we have major issues with defective of wrong products in our home that have gone unrepaired, almost ignored. Love our home, but very unhappy with service after closing.

When purchasing a home through WCI, set your expectations to be treated as a transaction and not as a person. They will cut whatever corners necessary to ensure the product is done by the time they need to hit their quota numbers and then leave all corrections to warranty. As long as you are willing to take a second job as project manager and correct all the issues with your home, you will eventually get an amazing product. After months of working hard on our home, we love it and our neighborhood, so we have no regrets, but wish we had known what a terrible experience dealing with WCI as a company was going to be to appropriately set our expectations. ... Their sales was exceptional Construction manager would hardly respond a lot of issues brought up during construction could have been dealt with while the construction is going on. Landscaping is below par Doesn't talk well about their workmanship

We have not been able to use our master bathroom for 4 out of the 5 months since we've lived here. There are also concerns about the other 2 bathrooms. This is unacceptable as a new home owner.

On the day of closing, learned that the areas that were supposed to be fixed by then had not been fixed. didn't wan to delay the closing, and the Construction Manager promised that he would tend to those areas within a few days. It has been six months since I moved in, and I am tending to things one at a time via "after service" clause that covers one-year period. happy with the house and community overall, but dealing with someone, or process, that is not so trustworthy or reliable leaves you with unpleasant feeling -- I hope they improve for future customers. ... The house is built very poorly especially The finishing . Out of style fixtures Unfinished work , poor dry wall finish and painting. Garage door is not installed properly or cheap door ,scared us inside the house with The loud noise etc
Poor communication during building process but improved after closing. Attention to detail was very lacking and organization was poor. Building process was slow and started very late which lead to builder rushing to finish home close to closing which lead to many mistakes to include structural errors, cosmetics errors and flooring issues and cabinets not completely finished until 4 months after closing. The sales process was great but the building process is terrible. All the contractors are focused on is quickness not quality. I have had nothing but issues ever since I signed the paperwork. Lennar's response is to through their hands up and say well there is nothing we can do now. The warranty guy has addressed what he could. For us to pay as much as I did for a house that in my opinion was not finished WCI used cheap contractors that do not care of the outcome because they get paid either way. I wish I could recommend WCI or Lennar but at this point they still have work to do. ... More

Alina was excellent (realtor in the neighborhood). I have purchased several new homes from large builders like John Wieland (Atlanta) and David Weekly (Dallas). One point of separation that I think WCI could improve upon is the final walk through just before closing. The cleanliness of the home and attention to all details was inferior to new homes we have purchased from similar national companies (and a custom builder in Atlanta). Aside from the Tiffany champagne glasses (thank you), the overall final walk through was mediocre and we spent the first day cleaning floors, windows, pavers, smudges etc.. An improvement here would elevate and separate the WCI brand from Lennar. Building and protecting your brand image (WCI) is vital.. or people will stop buying it. Hope that is helpful. T ... More

There was no quality control at all while building this house. Also, there is no attention to detail whatsoever while performing the final finishes on the house. The quality of products used especially the paint is of the lowest quality possible. When I signed the contract, they told me the house was going to be built in six months but was built in less than four months. Consequently, due to the rush in building it had many issues, some issues were resolved many did not. Leaving here while construction was going on other homes has been a major nightmare. There is absolutely no Lennar supervision on contractors and there is a major disorganization on entering or leaving my subdivision. This disorganization made trucks block the roads hence current residents have to wait for contractors to finish their business. Contractors working for Lennar can care less for current residents throwing material and garbage all over the place. The supposed construction manager Lennar has here run away every time a resident brings issues to his attention. Moreover, there is lack of picking up garbage and cleaning the streets. Many times, there mountains of garbage for days. Also, due to construction and rain there is mod and nails on the streets and nobody cleans for weeks. Lennar advertises this as a high-end community but with all the issues experienced, I would not recommend this place to anybody. Furthermore, Lennar forgets that current residents are ambassadors to their brand and can either bring more residents or scared them away. I bought a brand new house from Standard Pacific in 2007 and never ever had any issues as I had with Lennar or WCI whatever they want to be called. ... More
