They have a good system in place to address concerns if you have them after moving in. However, it would have been nice to have a very clearly defined sheet on what is covered under warranty and until when and what is not. Also, what the HOA is responsible for and what Lennar is responsible for. We are in a position now of considering getting a water softener. We have had dry skin and film on our shower door after only a handful of showers. It might have been nice if someone explained to us that the water in Westfield is not great and is very hard. I am in the trade as a Plumber , the appliances homeowners get now seeing and using first hand are ver cheap for the price of the home. I have gone to new build apartment complexes and the washer and dryers they put in for renters not buyers are at least $1,000.00 each, but in general their appliances 8 out of 10 Lennar’s for buying a home valued at almost $300,000 - $500,000 2 out of 10. Absolutely love the house, great layout, perfect size, great location! Some workmanship issues that are taking a significant amount of time to resolve. Seems like once closing is done, Lennar writes you off...takes an act of God to get anything repaired! I closed on 12/23 and STILL have items that aren’t fixed. Customer service is not responsive! Lennar still builds the best home for the money in Waxhaw NC, but they need to get their act together on quality of work and ease of working with customers. My main suggestion is always pay the extra $500 to your personal home inspector for a complete report even though its a brand new house. ... More

The homes here at Wildwing are very nice! We are extremely happy with our new home and quality appears to be good. We had a few small items along the way but I think that can happen with any upper end track home.

no mail for six weeks i am still ticked off, Lennar dropped the ball stop blaming the post office should have been done a year ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Details such as scratched appliances, chipped counters, scratched bathtubs/showers were things I readily spotted through out the house after moving in. I also didn’t realize the house didn’t come painted like the model, the dining lighting wasn’t included, and the front landscaping is a joke. The landscaping looks nothing like the model. They literally put in random plants in no specific pattern. Ive already changed the lighting over the dining table as the cheap chandelier they put in looked nothing like the model. This review may sound negative but it’s actually not, I do love my house. I just find all the small details extremely annoying as I’ll have to fix it later $$$. I’m already planning on replacing the bathroom counters as the chips and stains I didn’t notice until after closing really annoy me. I’m also planning on completely redoing the front yard to look somewhat more decent, half of the cheap plants they put in are dead. They didn’t really choose appropriate drought tolerant plants for direct light etc. All in all, I’d recommend Lennar, but know that all included comes at the cost of the fine details. ... More

I have had granite in 3 other homes and never had to seal it right after purchase. Home Depot gives a 15 year warranty on their granite purchases for kitchens and bathrooms. After I moved in I started to get stains on my granite in the kitchen and bathroom and that is when I found out I had to seal it. They have a full page disclosure in the thick purchase contract that covers them that they are not responsible for stains in granite. Very convenient. I put a sack of oranges on the granite and one leaked and now I have a huge stain on may brand new counter. I called a professional grout sealer company and they would not take the job as they said they can not guarantee on this type of poor granite. Lennar then sent someone out who said they can't do anything about it and said that was all they could do. After I pushed back. I understand they are sending someone out after the lock in place is over. My concern is why use such bad material in such an important location as kitchen and bathroom and why was I not warned upfront when I picked it out so I would have at least had a chance to pick something else out. So my brand new kitchen has a big old stain on my granite which to me only means they use substandard materials. ... More

Overall Lennar is a great company to work with. The staff that they have are very nice, great to work with and very responsive to issues. The area that is lacking is the details of the work. After moving in I realized that there are window frames that the nail marks that were covered with sparkle were never wiped/sanded down so there are just clay clumps all over the window frames. Also, we had 3 different water issues (dishwasher base cracked=water in basement, washing machine hose not tightened= water behind washing machine and on bathroom floor, cracked ceiling vent= water all over floor of bathroom during rain. Another issues is several nails sticking out of the carpet on the stairs. While these issues were definitely disheartening, I am still happy with our purchase overall. ... More

Overall, we are very pleased with our home! We have had a few issues with repairs after we moved in. Our Ring doorbell has not worked properly - we've been in the house for 4 months. They have come and replaced it twice now and it is still not working. Whilst we were generally happy with our purchase we found the process to have repairs and snagging dealt with somewhat difficult and the issues raised at closing were not dealt with for several months.

The home is very beautiful. In comparison to the home I bought 2 years ago the finish work on this home needs improvement. Miters, paint drips, grout work, touching up nail heads and other aspects are a bit sloppy.

Material selections limited to colors. Nice being able to move in with everything included like blinds and refrigerator plus set up as a smart home. Quality is better than the other builders in our development.
