star-rating I love my house!

I love my house! I would definitely recommend Lennar to anyone trying to build. Doug, Pete, Colleen, and Joe were so great and incredibly helpful. My only issue occurred after my home was built. I requested a simple electrical problem to be fixed and it was never done. I got the run around from Ellen and the electrician. Needless to say my problem was never fixed.

star-rating Honest Opinion

In all honesty the town homes are beautiful but the craftsmanship and attention and caring of details were terrible, they don’t complete the house 100% more like 93% I shouldn’t have to ask them to fill in cracks or fix screen doors etc.

star-rating Great building process and delivery

Overall, the process has been very good during the building and delivery. Post delivery, living in a place where there are lot of constructions going on, there is always debris , Coffee cups, lunch boxes etc in your yard consistently. No one seems to be acting on that.

We understand that Don is a busy man and he has gone above and beyond to ensure any issues we have had with the home that they are addressed. We have however had a work order placed for 4 months now for stains appearing in our granite as well as electrical concerns with a few of our outlets blowing the circuit breaker. The electrician has called us and has not been very willing to work around our Work schedule and the granite has not been replaced as we have been told there are other additional processes that need to be done to eliminate the stain before the granite is replaced. This stain issue was brought to the attention of our home warranty folks back in November. ... More

star-rating Some Good, Some Bad

Building process went great with my builder, Clayton. After closing follow up has been difficult. Current construction in the neighborhood has trench my yard over and over, blocked my driveway on multiple occasions and I have had two flat tires driving through the neighborhood. My advice is to not buy when the neighborhood is still in process. The builder does not respect the already losed homeowners. ... More

I was told that my property in the back would be level that was definitely not true , it is very difficult with the slopes and valleys . and also there are landscaping trees that are missing in the back which would Help with my safety from the main street . I have been denied twice concerning the fence in my yard due to the property lines.

star-rating My new home

We love the community we’re in. Overall, the home is solid, but quality of some materials could be improved. Dry wall and trim work need more attention to detail. The one area of disappointment for us was flooring options. Only three choices to choose from and one of those was carpet (no way). Lennar offers what they offer and anything you want to add or make changes to is on you with after market costs. ... More

star-rating Lacking promised amenities

It was our understanding when making the decision on buying in this neighborhood, that there was going tp be a dog park and playground put in. I can't get answers on the timeline for thus and the one person who responded was the previous construction manager who said here doesn't think they're doing it anymore. The buying process itself was great but a couple months later we are missing out on what was a huge selling point for us on this neighborhood... ... More

star-rating Lennar - As a first time buyer, I was disappointed with the lack of options

As a first time buyer, I was disappointed with the lack of options I had regarding building a brand new house. I didn't want dual sinks and I didn't want all the "smart house" tech, but there was no other option. Speaking of no options, I couldn't get tile or hardwood floors and I wasn't able to choose what was planted in my own front yard! Aside from those issues, the process itself was fantastic. My construction manager Jeff was extremely trustworthy and on top of everything. When we first met to go over things, he wrote down a date the house would be done by. When all was said and done, the house ended up being finished two days earlier than projected! On the walkthrough, Jeff pointed out issues we didn't even see. His honesty and integrity really put me at ease during a stressful time. The Lennar warranty is a real thing. I followed up with them about some issues with the house and the new construction manager, Brian, was on it very quickly. He also kept in constant touch with me throughout. Felicia my sales associate was very nice and would always be checking in via email and phone. Aside from frustrations on options for the house, everything else has been wonderful. I would recommend building with Lennar. ... More

star-rating Punch list

There were many punch list items to be completed. There should be a punch list team that goes to each house to fix all the items prior to turning it over to the buyer. Also concern about the HOA, I know this is going to be ours, but now it is Lennar's. A lot of financial concerns.

star-rating Don’t go to settlement in November

  • Jasmine P.
  • Aberdeen, MD
  • March 18, 2020

The process of purchasing my home was easy, but from my final walk through to after being in my home for a month, it was horrible. Issue after issue. It has calmed down now, but it shouldn’t have been like this. I honestly think it was due to the time I went to settlement. If I settled when it wasn’t busy, the team wouldn’t have been rushing to meet their year end goals.

star-rating Get written documentation on EVERYTHING

  • Michael C.

  • March 18, 2020

We are enjoying our home. My issues: kitchen stove should be upgraded, same with dishwasher. We would have preferred to upgrade and pay the difference. Buying a package deal is a first for us and the last. We upgraded several items after moving in and that is such a waste when you tear out new materials. Our selected items when we signed our purchase papers where changed without the option to have the original selected items. Phil, the onsite manager, was great. Jorge is very responsive to our needs for repairs. Your sales agent did not meet our personal satisfaction on several issues. ... More
