I have had granite in 3 other homes and never had to seal it right after purchase. Home Depot gives a 15 year warranty on their granite purchases for kitchens and bathrooms. After I moved in I started to get stains on my granite in the kitchen and bathroom and that is when I found out I had to seal it. They have a full page disclosure in the thick purchase contract that covers them that they are not responsible for stains in granite. Very convenient. I put a sack of oranges on the granite and one leaked and now I have a huge stain on may brand new counter. I called a professional grout sealer company and they would not take the job as they said they can not guarantee on this type of poor granite. Lennar then sent someone out who said they can't do anything about it and said that was all they could do. After I pushed back. I understand they are sending someone out after the lock in place is over. My concern is why use such bad material in such an important location as kitchen and bathroom and why was I not warned upfront when I picked it out so I would have at least had a chance to pick something else out. So my brand new kitchen has a big old stain on my granite which to me only means they use substandard materials. ... More

Overall Lennar is a great company to work with. The staff that they have are very nice, great to work with and very responsive to issues. The area that is lacking is the details of the work. After moving in I realized that there are window frames that the nail marks that were covered with sparkle were never wiped/sanded down so there are just clay clumps all over the window frames. Also, we had 3 different water issues (dishwasher base cracked=water in basement, washing machine hose not tightened= water behind washing machine and on bathroom floor, cracked ceiling vent= water all over floor of bathroom during rain. Another issues is several nails sticking out of the carpet on the stairs. While these issues were definitely disheartening, I am still happy with our purchase overall. ... More

Overall, we are very pleased with our home! We have had a few issues with repairs after we moved in. Our Ring doorbell has not worked properly - we've been in the house for 4 months. They have come and replaced it twice now and it is still not working. We are waiting for the electricians to be back in the office(out of office due to COVID-19) to see if the electrical needs repaired. ... More

Whilst we were generally happy with our purchase we found the process to have repairs and snagging dealt with somewhat difficult and the issues raised at closing were not dealt with for several months.

The home is very beautiful. In comparison to the home I bought 2 years ago the finish work on this home needs improvement. Miters, paint drips, grout work, touching up nail heads and other aspects are a bit sloppy.

Material selections limited to colors. Nice being able to move in with everything included like blinds and refrigerator plus set up as a smart home. Quality is better than the other builders in our development.

Overall the home is build well it's the small detail that makes the difference. You can tell some thing were rushed and if quality control was done those things could have been avoided. Great pricing for the home. The team needs to do much better with communication. I had to make way to many calls to get things done, but once I got through to someone things were done. ... More

I had a smooth and pleasant experience with Lennar during the home buying process. But what I will say is that after getting settled in, I was able to see the rushed job they did in constructing the property. There are uneven places in the dry wall, unfinished areas under the island, nail holes that were never covered, messiness around the light covers. There are many places where nails are coming out of the walls and sure, there is a settling period and other homes being built in the community. But when pointed out they didn't want to take responsibility or fix it at the 3 month inspection. For a house at this price point, there just shouldn't be as much incomplete work done. ... More

I had a few issues in my new home that Lennar took months to get repaired. After the New Home Orientation, Lennar had a list of topics to be replaced/repaired, but I still had to open a ticket, follow-up multiple times, escalate to different people by e-mail, and the last problems were finally repaired after 3 to 4 months. ... The longer I am in my townhome (which I love), I'm realizing how ridiculously small the garage is. I drive a small Veloster, and I can barely fit it in with my two garbage cans. Most homes around me have their cars parked on their driveways or in the streets, because they won't fit in the garage. The other thing I would change, is that I think we should have more say in the bigger items, like appliances and HVAC systems. I would have preferred to pay a little more for better appliances. ... Compared with other builders, Lennar gives so much amenities/equipment as standard not as add on and we have made research 8month before we bought the house. which is a great value. However, during the final walk and the first 90 days, we found quite a bit of issues with quality workmanship, some are small and some are majors. Most issues were addressed but the more we pay attention to details the more we have issues with workmanships. For example, ceiling on the second floor was uneven toward the wall and we found out when we painted the wall ; secondly, numerous cracking on wall plaster ; bedroom doors were installed improperly and The edges rubbing the frame when opening or closing ; when flushing the toilet, you can hear the water running down the pipe so loud , which could be a sign of improper sealing.; weather stripping on the doors wasn’t installed properly and I can see big gaps on the bottom of main door: I’m still trying to address all issues with the builder for resolution. ... Building process went great with my builder, Clayton. After closing follow up has been difficult. Current construction in the neighborhood has trench my yard over and over, blocked my driveway on multiple occasions and I have had two flat tires driving through the neighborhood. My advice is to not buy when the neighborhood is still in process. The builder does not respect the already losed homeowners. ... More

We love the community we’re in. Overall, the home is solid, but quality of some materials could be improved. Dry wall and trim work need more attention to detail. The one area of disappointment for us was flooring options. Only three choices to choose from and one of those was carpet (no way). Lennar offers what they offer and anything you want to add or make changes to is on you with after market costs. ... More

Lennar home buying experience was great. Our salesperson, Chris, Construction manager, Kurt, and title team were both very helpful and responsive. They answered all our questions and concerns timely. Lennar makets their homes as "Everything is included" and this can be a little deceiving. We have a smart home and that is great but I would have much rather had all my rooms wired for cable and internet than having an Alexa or Amazon show in my home. Our home only came with the living room and master bedroom wired so we have had to spend extra money out of pocket to have cable and internet installed in our home. And I will say their warranty department has definitely soured my home buying process. Trying to get a warranty issue handled takes months to get addressed and even then you get a run around of them second guessing whether it is covered under warranty or not. Our yard and our neighbors yards are clearing having flooding issues due to grading in our yard and we are still waiting for a resolution. If you say you are going to respond within a day then respond and don't make me chase you down to get an answer on the status of my warranty claim. ... More

As long as your issues are within your 30 days of moving in are taken care of you’ll have no problem. I can’t say 100% but it seems like any work order you put in after your 30 days of moving in “isn’t covered “ grant it my issues were a little unconventional but I really hope I don’t need my warranty because I feel I might have a lot of problems. ...
