Lennar builds homes fast. But without quality workmanship. Each home is u set intense pressure to build so fast lots of shortcuts and sloppy workmanship is the norm. Months after closing we are finding things that were covered up so they would close on time especially areas outside the house, like a drainage pipe covered over with sod so we had a flood. or on top of the house where vents were installed without covers and we had a leak. The fact that at closing the take $750 for future improvements does not go into the reserves to fix future hoa issues, it is pocketed by lennar. our reserves only had $2000 for a community of 200 potential homes. They also do not pay hoa fees on spec homes they have for sale again bleeding our reserves for when they leave the project and move on. Not a trustworthy builder at all. This is my first home and i must say i am disappointed in the quality of the craftsmanship. I've been in constant contact with Lennar customer service to attempt to set up repair services to fix multiple issues within my new home. Issues with water bill, from excessive water use from the sprinklers. I was told the day of the original walk-thru orientation that the water will be turned down b4 my move in, it wasn’t. I have spoken to several members of the staff on the property and I can never get a straight answer. From the day I bought this home it has been a disaster. On the day I bought the home they were an hour late at the title agency and didn’t even have a room for us to close in. Then we ending up closing on a fold out table with some random guy who farted in my husbands face. Then our mailbox key didn’t work for over two weeks and then they had to rekey the mailbox. When we called our sales guy he said this has been a issue with a lot of home buyers. Why weren’t we warned before we moved in? On top of that the quality of the home is mediocre. I have lumps in my carpet, my floor creaks, the paint rubs right off the walls, the tile in the master shower grout has come up all over, the shower door creeks. The list goes on, every time I contact my rep it takes days for a response and I honestly don’t think I will every buy a Lennar home again. I own two homes my other home was built in 1978 and I have never had an issue, I bought this new home and have had more issues that I can count. ... More

I have been in my house 4 months. The dishwasher, disposal and both thermostats had to be fixed or replaced. My roof has had to be fixed as well as my gutters. I think they are terrible builders, but they have fixed the items. Just seems it would be better if they did it right the first time instead of causing all the aggravation. ... More

Our dream home purchase was the worst purchase experience of our lives, thanks to Lennar's quite unimaginable levels of ineptitude. No commitment to quality whatsoever at any stage of construction. No apparent desire to stick to deadlines. I, the home owner, seemed to be in charge of quality control - if I didn't catch it no one did. No commitment from upper management to make things right. I pleaded for help so many times, and just failure after failure ensued. No one from management ever even called or reached out to apologize for the incompetence. That's what you get for an $850K home purchase. You get better service at your local Taco Bell quite honestly - at least the manager there will say we are sorry when they mess up. Lennar management really should really find a different line of work. Folks purchasing their dream home deserve better than total lack of commitment to quality, total ignorance of deadlines, total disrespect towards the buyer, and total lack of any management basics. The quality of the home appears to be great on the surface, however after less than 2 months in the home, things started to fall apart. Cracks started to appear on the walls and ceilings. We can also see all of the lines coming from wood planks in the ceiling and on the walls. They also didnt sod the entire backyard and put pine straw in the non-sodded area, stating that "grass will have trouble growing there". However, we hired a landscaper and was told differently. The tubs and showers had scratches and yellow paint spots all over them. It looks like they used the cheapest materials that they could get away with (such as paint, sheet rock, and carpet) for a home that was purchased for $363,000. ... More

Peggy is the best!! Rest of the Lennar team are horrible if there a word worst then horrible I will use it. Since we moved in we have requested multiple times for certain services and only once a service was full filled. We are still waiting on so many other service we’ve requested and their is no follow ups. They are few urgent service requests we have requested that are pertaining to dangerous materials on our roof and driveway and after several requests their is still no one came to check on the request. An entire door that goes to our basement is out off shape including the entrance and we were told that nothing can be done about it. We received and email just yesterday about that Lennar wants to check out contact number if it’s right on their records but when we emailed back why they want to check that we got an pre written email back but not an answer to our question. We don’t deserve the treatment that Lennar and people working for them have given ...... Lennar probably don’t care about their customer once the closing is done and customers have moved in. Pay close attention when having your home built, do your inspection throughout entire building. Hire your own inspector. The construction don't care about your home. The worst nightmare in my life. No respect toward the new homeowners..
