Initially presentations were good. Communication throughout the process has been lacking, specifically we were not told about delays. We were told projected meetings and weeks passed without contact. We were told we would be told if there were delays that would affect the delivery date. We were not told. This affected several things for us. That seems false. The sales associates were absolutely amazing hence the two stars, but that was it. The two months leading to closing on the home, we had miscommunication after miscommunication with the loan team and didn't receive confirmation on our loan into 2 days before closing pending documentation that we uploaded two months prior to closing. After moving in, there were some minor maintenance that needed taken care of and the Customer Care team was quick to address the tasks but prior to a week of heavy snowfall in our area, we attempted to park two sedan cars into the two-car garage and found that (with the elevation of the house) one side of the garage only allowed less than 3 inch clearance from the garage wall and the 7 stairs leading into the garage. After sending numerous pictures to Customer Care thinking this was a silly mistake that a 2 car garage couldn't fit 2 cars, we reached out with hopes that Lennar could narrow the stairs or pivot them to line the back of the garage. After several back and forth, we were told there was nothing they could do about the situation and that it was a common issue in another community. Although this may not be intuitive since you expect that when you purchase a home with a two-car garage, it'll fit 2 cars, please, please, please measure the garage and make sure your vehicle fits into the garage of your Lennar home. This may not be a common issue in the neighborhood as this was completely dependent on the elevation of the home but no one tells you having 7 steps in your garage means you have a 3-inch clearance for that side of your garage. In a state with heavy snowfall (in any place really), you want to be able to park in your garage with more than a 3-inch clearance on each side of your car... Our hopes of upgrading to an SUV is no longer in the picture unless we plan on parking outside which defeats the purpose of buying a home with a 2-car garage. Although we love our home, every time we go into the garage (which is every day), we constantly feel frustration with Lennar for thinking this is ok and not learning from their other communities that had this issue. The communication between staff was horrible. For example my husband and I would talk to someone in the loan department and would expect that message to be delivered to the each person on our mortgage case, but instead we would have to explain our self again and again for the same matter. We also had short notice when it came to gathering information to be sent over, and was then told certain things would be accepted but came to find out later in the home-buying process it’s not accepted. The communication was so bad that on the day of closing we didn’t have a time to close. We were waiting on a call from anyone at this point to tell us when to close, but we ended up having to reach out to them, only to have our time canceled at the last sec while moving our stuff into the uhaul trucks. The inspection that we had sucked, only because of the person demonstrating, Elaine. She did not allow my husband to check the plug-ins, which I think is a big deal since we are making a large purchase. Next bad experience was our loan officer I assume was fired and we had a replacement which made it even worst with the communication, because leading up until, it’s like we had to start all over again with our information gathering, nothing was passed on. We would have questions like anyone else in this strenuous process, but when we would call no one would answer and subsequently we would leave voicemails, only to hear back from them a week or 2 later. ... Prior to purchasing our new Lennar home, I read some reviews on the web. There were more negative reviews than I would have expected. I addressed this with our sales consultant and he simply said that because of the size of Lennar, there would be more negative reviews than with other builders and likewise there would be more positive reviews. We really liked the house and he assured us that they would be here to take care of any issues. We went ahead with the purchase and could not be more pleased with the house and their responsiveness to the few minor issues that we have had. The hoyse was well constructed and came with basically everything that our previous builder was going to charge us 50K for. In my opinion, Lennar offers a well built house that is full of value. I have purchased Lennar Homes in the past (Cal-Atlantic/Ryland Homes) by far this was the worst home buying experience. If it wasn't for the lot size and location, I should have gone with one of the other builders in the neighborhood (Stanley Martin or Providence Homes). The sales experience was terrible both salespeople were not on the same page and took a long time to get a response back. As far as the builder and follow up person they were great and overworked because they had a lot of building going on, but when I was able to speak with them they were able to respond to my questions. I don't think Lennar is in sink with all of there offices. whey will call you for closing when the home is not ready. if you give then 10 week heads up that you will be on Military orders they don't care and still set you up to close that day even if the home is not done. Overall exterior and interior trim work was extremely poor massive amounts of caulk used to close poor craftsmanship / millwork. MI windows are falling a part - they will all need to be replaced within 12/15 years.

I was lied to about cable being included. Nobody informed me of registering the house. I feel like anytime I had a concern I was treated as if I were a nuisance.

Where do I begin...This, by far, was one of the worst experiences I have ever been through, from the beginning to the present. I am disgusted with Lennar and how nobody is accountable for their mistakes. My home was not move in ready. 6 months later, I am still dealing w/ getting things fixed because the craftsmanship of the build was poor. Dealing with the customer service team has been the only bright spot in this experience. Bless all of the customer care personnel for they have to deal with the mistakes of the poor building. All I get from the construction manager for my neighborhood was, "I came on when your house was 7/8 the way done...," as I said, no accountability. I wanted to pull out of this deal from the beginning when my sales rep continuously made multiple mistakes on the same document that I had to fill out not one, not two but three times only to get her coming back to say I should have caught the mistakes. Really??? In any sales transaction, the buyer and seller has rights, so I thought. In this transaction, my rights as the buyer were stripped of me. I was told I can pull out of the deal but...I'd lose my deposit of $15,000. So, I was forced to go through this process anyways. As I've said, one of the worst experiences ever. Actual builder, Brad, is great! Super responsive and gets things done correctly himself. Salesman, Tommy, is a completely different story. He rarely if ever responded to questions or issues addressed.

Roof leaked after rainstorm. Many small repairs needed, e.g., painting, draws sticking, door locks not working, problems with pool fence, shelves in cupboards.
