I have purchased six homes and this experience by far was the most disappointing. Once you sign contract to purchase home the communication ends. There was no formal sit down process nor schedule given to keep you abreast of the process. Was not encouraged to meet or speak with the construction manager. Even when I contacted the corporate office and spoke with the regional manager, there was not a demonstration to take ownership of the situation and correct or improve the process. ... More

Lennar builds beautiful homes. But attention to detail appears to be a loss. We have been in our home for 4 months and immediately started a list of repairs needed. We have only notified the builder of two repairs that are priority at the moment. Our experience with having our concerns addressed has been very poor. We will usually get a response within a couple days but contractors are scheduled on what’s convenient for them and not the homeowner. We are told what day they will be out but it often dies not work with our schedule. That means contractors are coming to our home and entering our yard with no one here. Most of the time we have to reach out to Lennar to get an update. Often times, we don’t even know if the contractors came out. We have a patio that is sloped towards the house leaving rain water to run down the patio, towards the house and down the foundation. It’s been a couple months since we first notified Lennar of the concern and over a week since the contractors were supposed to be here but we don’t even know if they came out. Still waiting for an update. We also notified Lennar of some carpet defects a couple months ago and have yet to have anyone inspect the product. Lennar is a large home builder and I’m sure they have a lot of customer repair inquiries, as would be with any new homes, but the customer should be informed and updated regularly. I work in construction as a project manager and I know the importance of communication. It makes a big impact on the customer experience. We still have a fairly large list of repairs needed and we are concerned with when and how they will be taken care of. With all of that said, I would buy another home from Lennar, just be prepared to be very patient. ... More

Home builder has defects, that take many visits from their contractors to repair, over the course of several months. Our counter has been repaired over 6 times, and still needs more work as they can never get it right on the first visit. Damaged closet hardware has been months to get repaired, still waiting on parts for over three months. Front door still is beat up from construction, and still waiting on a replacement. Upon move in, our keys weren't even there, and then weren't the right keys, and have to get it rekeyed. Attention to detail isn't there, they just wait to see what you find and want to argue to death to get fixed. ... More

Lots of promises upfront, but the reality doesn't match what was said in the sales office. Constant drywall issues with multiple homeowners, there appears to be a very poor vendor being used continuously. For these high prices (and getting higher) there shouldn't be a wait list for a year to fix issues. ... More

Sadly, the information from one team to the next gets lost. The client has to constantly remind them of what was told and by whom. Obviously, the client will do it since they are making such an important investment, but the support and guidance provided by Lennnar, especially to first homebuyers, is subpar. Lastly, quality of materials, attention to detail and overall value for the price paid is questionable. There is a general lack of refinement with many details. ... More

The buying process was smooth, Lennar was involved in every aspect of the buying process, including getting a Mortgage and the closing. From that part I am happy on how everything worked out. In regards to the house, we were told a date when we would be able to walk the property to see if everything was in good shape. They said that we could bring a home inspector so we hired one for the date Lennar told us. A few days before the inspection Lennar told us the date was postponed 1 day so our home inspector couldn't come with us as he could not accommodate that last minute change. We then were told by Lennar that the inspector could not come at a later date even though it was due to their last minute change. Once we entered the property we understood why they preferred a home inspector not to come because the property was clearly unfinished, we spent many hours marking tens of defects everywhere and obviously without the help of a home inspector we missed many of them. The most important ones where related to missing insulation in the living room and scratched windows that don't close/open properly. During the tour they said don't worry anything you don't catch now it will be fixed using the 1 year warranty but that is not completely true, some thing are indeed fixed afterwards and we actually had to fix lots of them but some of the most important ones are not covered under the warranty like for example the missing insulation. Other issues we have had are with the dishwasher which stopped working after only a few uses and Lennar was unwilling to replace it. We are still waiting on having it fixed after months without dishwasher. The quality of the materials used is low and all the appliances are basic or entry level. We asked to upgrade them but they denied that possibility. The only thing it is good quality is the Ruckus AP they install which is high quality (even though is the entry level Ruckus of course). The quality of craftsmanship is very poor, you can feel how the rushed everything and don't have any attention to details. In my opinion the value we got for the price we paid is low but we are still happy because we like the neighborhood and the location of our house is really good. The house itself is beautiful and the layout works perfectly for our family. It would have been perfect if not for all these issues regarding construction. My advice for future owners is to be very careful and very thorough on the inspection. Don't trust them when they try to convince you everything will be fixed in the future because some items will definitely not be fixed and don't let them push them to sign the acceptance till every issue has been resolved. ... Jaime was great to work with during the buying process. At closing, there were many items that needed correction like painting, wrong windows, landscape issues etc. I was working with Brian, the construction manager for our home. I had to keep reaching out to get him to come check out the issues. He came multiple times to inspect the same things. Weeks would go by without follow-up. Landscape was addressed poorly weeks later. It’s been almost 2 months since our last communication. I still have the wrong windows in my bathroom, among other things. I’d like to give zero stars because of how frustrating this experience has been. But I will give 3 because initially the process of buying went well. ... More

The trim work in the house is not that good. The paint job on the interior doors is bad. Debris were painted over, there is paint splatter on the doors. Uneven brush marks trying to cover debris, that need to be sanded and repainted properly. The edges of the doors were not smoothed and are rough. The kitchen island counter top is not level. The kitchen sink has to be replaced due to being badly scratched and dented. When I did the walk through, the kitchen sink was conveniently wet, and I did not notice the scratches. After I closed and came back to the house, the kitchen sink was dry, and I could see all the scratches and dent. I called Jeremy the customer service rep, who conducted the walk through. I showed him the sink, and he told me to take a brillo pad, and scratch up the rest of the bottom of the sink, so all the scratches would match. Yes, that is what he told me to do. I told him that would really look bad, and the sink needed to be replaced. The crown molding that I paid extra to have, has cuts that were not filled in, and Jeremy told me it would be taken care of by the second walk through. It was not. I have been in the house for five months and it still has not been take care of. There are other issues that have not been taken care of, I will not list them all, but I think you get the picture. I submitted my warranty request to Lennar before Thanksgiving and only a few things have been done. I have contacted Jeremy over and over about the same things. My warranty issued are not being followed up. The bathroom counter tops are cheap and scratched. ... More
