My new house was put together by some people that had no regard for what a new home was suppose to look like and taken care of ! We are documenting all the discrepancies left behind by this company that now we have to wait a year that hopefully can be fixed. We feel that we made a mistake buying from century!! ... More

I would never buy from century communities again. Lived in our house for 11 weeks and have taken off 20 business days to resolve issues and they still aren’t done. I’m currently working from home right now while they completely rebuild my shower. Buying process was terrible. The construction manager must have been sleeping on the job. Still have major issues in drywall to repair in later months. ... More

Has been a mess and have had to reach out and continue to ask for resolution to any issues we find. Have had so many issues that we've simply stopped reporting them as it isn't worth the hassle.

Century Communities responded:
Shane, we understand that our management team did circle back. Looks like there were several areas we fell short, including our communication. The good news is that our new Director of Construction has taken your feedback to heart and has identified opportunities for his team to provide better service. ... More

Quality of the workmanship is made even worse by the complete lack of follow up and care for the customer demonstrated by Century. Promises made over and over were not delivered upon and even the warranty leads admit to the poor contractor work quality being provided. ... More

Worst experience through out all phases - contract, buying, warranty issues. Sales agents do not have any information/experience with their job, you always get wrong information. Building quality is poorest. I moved in 2 months back. I already have multiple serious issues. One of them is water leak in basement. Warranty: You will never get a response from warranty nor issues will get fixed ... More

We bought our home in April and have yet to fully move in. The amount of repairs are endless, to get someone to show up, show on time, or even get a response is impossible. Our floors have been replaced once and less than a week later had the same issues. The bosses came and looked, agreed and promised they’d have an answer to fix within 2 days. It’s been 2 weeks and we have yet to hear anything from them. If you want a home to call home and new one ready to move into this isn’t the company you’d want to purchase with. ... More

Century Communities responded:
Paul- after speaking with the division your floors have been completed and signed off. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Century Communities does a great job at selling you a dream home, but lacks accountability and controls of their construction processes. Do you want to feel happy about your purchase and reassured that all requirements in the development and construction processes were met? Do you want a builder that follows through on their commitments when they’ve made an error? Wouldn’t you rather not have to chase down executives at their company to understand what’s going on with your property’s issues? If so, then I suggest you avoid Century Communities as your builder. ... More

FIrst time homebuyer. I understood certain things during this process, but it has overall been a horrible experience. Every room in my place has had to be re-worked. The kitchen flooring has been worked on 6 times and it still isn't fixed. Very bad experience. At the end of the day I do have a home, but the process has been way below the standard I was hoping. Communication, the follow up, quality has all been very poor. ... More

Our house was finished 2 months behind schedule in spite of great weather this fall. The quality of the work done is very poor. Drywall seams are visible in most rooms of the house. The interior paint job is uneven and there is overspray on hinges and door knobs. This is just a small sample of what we got for $300,000. This was an awful experience. I regret buying from Century every day. ... More

The sales experience was full of misleading information to get us to design the contract, the building process was rushed, Century mad is close when the house was not ready and dirty, and the plumbing is atrocious. The meter piping is leaking and 3 attempts to fix, it’s still leaking and I am paying for all the lost water. Unacceptable service throughout the entire process. ... More

Everything about Century Homes is a nightmare, from sales to lending to craftsmanship. It’s not just my house, our whole neighborhood is screwed up. Roofs caving in, cracked concrete, crooked joints, the wrong fixtures, code violations, appliances that never work properly, retaining walls that fail, poor customer service, even liens placed on our properties from unsatisfied builders. You name it and it’s gone wrong in our neighborhood. I will never do business with Century again or buy a pre-existing home built by them, ... More

Buying a home with Century has been a terrible experience. Our first mistake was using their preferred lender. He was terrible and failed to give us accurate information. As a first time home buyer you put a lot of trust into your lender to help you through the transaction. The preferred lender was a nightmare. The sales agent for century communities also gave us a bunch of misinformation. He told us were guaranteed a certain dollar amount in builder and lender incentives, which, again didn't happen. He also told us the wrong information for our HOA fee. We were surprised when the bill came last week for a higher amount than stated by the sales rep for century communities. The overall workmanship of the home is decent/poor. The construction crew performed a rush job and didn't pay attention to detail. Overall, it was a really poor experience. ... More

Workmanship and quality of materials is builder grade apartment garbage that belongs nowhere near a 400k "custom " built home. Once you sign for your closing, you're nearly irrelevant and dealing with 15 different people for each issue that no one team seems responsible for to check in or see to it they ever get closed or adequately handled. It's beyond unprofessional, and disappointing to say the very least. Basically a complete waste of money. Do not use Century Communities ... More

This is starting to be the worst home buying experience ever in my life. From the beginning of trying to switch me as the primary on the loan, to the Air Conditioner in the house being way too loud & sounding like a hurricane. The next two issues deals with the A/C condensation lines releasing large amounts of water, that is destroying the landscaping/soil of the yard. This is due to the incline/grade of the yard. The next issue is; moving into the home and not having the stakes on the right side of the house, to see our boundary line for landscaping. ... More
