We were never supplied air filters for our house. Our property line has moved since putting in a new house next door. Still have an electric issue in our guest bathroom. Had an exposed wire in master bedroom that tripped and burnt out the fan. Our back door was dented they replaced it but never replaced the framing due to water damage and breaking the frame when replacing the door so now it doesn’t lock except for the doorknob. Never finished the sod in our yard plus with a new house next door one of the workers drove through it. Painters missed several spots after coming out but the only paint if there is blue tape. Still haven’t replaced our master shower because it has cuts in the fiberglass on all of the walls. Our master tub still has cuts in the drywall exposed above it. Our master bathroom door doesn’t shut all the way and rubs the paint off the frame. Don’t expect stainless steel appliances because they give you whatever their supplier has on hand. We were shown one thing and had something different delivered. Grading issues after water run off in the side and backyard. We’ve had two rounds of a ant infestation since being in the house in our master bedroom. They are entering from the master bathroom door framing that is not solid to the ground. Also our carpet is coming up in that same area. Our master bedroom ceiling fan still roars if left on high. The guy that came to replace the ceiling fan told us it was a low quality fan but our living room fan does not make the roaring noise. Our AC wasn’t hooked up correctly when moving in one of the electric people caught it when we had them out for our lights flickering in our house because of our washer and dryer would cause it. All the screens on the windows were installed incorrectly and were rattling in the windows. The tile in the kitchen are two different colors and refused to replace it because they blamed the LED lighting causing it. The lock on the door going out to the garage has never locked since moving in. We still had exposed holes in dry wall around the light fixtures. ... More

There are things form my drywall walk through that still haven't been fixed. They refused to give me a floor plan with dimensions and now things are smaller than I expected and my car doesn't fit in the garage. The builder also put a $2MM bond on the HOA that all the residents have to not pay back in their taxes. ... More

Quality of all materials is mediocre and the workmanship in all areas of trim, paint, kitchen cabinets is poor. Of course we cannot see beneath the surface to access the construction, but if the cracks in our front walk way and all the way across our driveway are any indication, I would expect it to be the same as what I can observe. The local staff, (sales, construction manager) are very nice. ... More

I have been in the home about 4 months now and I have been waiting almost 2 months from the time I submitted a warranty ticket for someone to come and fix my issues. Still no one. Love the neighborhood, just not the customer service or lack thereof. Covid can only be an excuse for so long. We couldn’t do an in person walkthrough due to covid, those items still haven’t been fixed. We’ve submitted over 30 other issues and no one has reached us regarding anything. A leaky roof, window, and wall happened when we first moved in which caused my baby to be room less for weeks. Three months in and no responses to warranty issues has me severely concerned on the trustworthyness of this company. They advertise a private lake access however there is no fence so public comes in swarms to include gang members. ... More

From start to...well it’s almost four months since close and we aren’t done yet so I can’t say to finish, it has been poor communication and quality. The only saving grace to my blood pressure has been Lisa and Matt. John was very friendly as well. The oversight in building some of these houses has been non-existent. The quality of the building materials and install is below standard for a private residence even for a track home. The quality is similar to that of an apartment complex. There are limitations to the combinations of the items you can upgrade. You must stay with what the design team has put together in their design package ideas for your home you are purchasing. The response to issues are good, however; the workmanship for the repairs is not any better than the original workmanship and the trades need to keep coming back to "attempt" the repairs the same things. During the loan process, the down payment amount changed the week before closing and the papers were not ready by the lender who was provided by Century Communities, until the day of the signing. At the time of our final walk through, the house was not completed and not completely cleaned inside or outside. The completion date was moved out 2 months from the original date give at the time of purchase. Many other things to mention, however; I think the general condition and idea of the purchase is relatively clear. ... More

The size and space of the home is everything that I wanted. Compared to pricing in other communities was a reasonable deal. With that said, it is true that you get what you pay for. Prior to my closing I saw a plethora of things that needed to be either repaired or replaced. The builder made me feel as though my concerns were not valid and pretty much brushed me off. if wasn't until after I made several complaints to corporate that something was done. There are still a lot of things that need to be addressed. I was made promises from the builder that certain issues would be taken care of back in October. It is now the end of January and I am still waiting. Customer service is nice but not effective. I have requested several times to speak with someone/receive a phone call to address my issues. I am still waiting for that courtesy call. I have sent photos, emails, text messages and all of my issues are still not being resolved. My "New" home feels like it is 10 years old. I was sooo excited about buying a home, but Century ruined all of my expectations. The attention to detail and basic craftmanship is not evident. The work is clearly sloppy and full of patchwork and carelessness. It is clear that the builder and the contractors do NOT take pride in their work and craft, and delivering a quality product is not their priority. The only priority is to build a house- not a "home" as quick as possible to turn a profit. I would definitely NOT recommend Century Communities, and I will NEVER purchase from them again. Buyer remorse is real. My opinion may have been different had they addressed my issues from the beginning and showed a little more respect. ... More

I was referred to Century Communities by a friend whose home had been built by CC. I really loved the way his home looked inside and out. It also appeared to be well built, so I decided to go with CC and have a home built with them. Apparently over the course of time CC made changes to its included features list and a lot things my friend got with his home were now taken off the feature list. I was lucky to be able to get blinds included but only in the front of the home. Going to the showroom was very overwhelming since everything has to be picked that day and no changes can be made once you've signed. I find that the homes are built to quickly and that no one knows how to use a tape measure or a level. I'm also still trying to understand why the builder couldn't show me a color picture of what the front of my home is suppose to look like. He only had a blueprint. I've gone onto the warranty page to submit some issues I had concerns with. That was on October 24, 2019 and I'm still waiting to be contacted. I've also spoken with the builder in my subdivision about some of my issues. Although he and his assistant are very nice, they can't remember everything. Although I do love the style of my home, I just wish that the workers took a little more pride in their work on the interior of the home. I'd just like to let future homebuyers know to check every nook and cranny in their new home before signing on the dotted line. ... More

We love our home but all of the ongoing issues we have had and are still fighting to get corrected have been beyond exhausting. From sewage leaks to roof leaks to an incorrectly elevated front porch (those are just the bigger issues) it has been never ending since moving in and therefore left us little time to enjoy the benefits of owning a new home. Unfortunately, it will make us rethink buying a home from Century in the future. One of the biggest disappointments has been the lack of care that was put into the drywall throughout the house. There are crooked ceiling lines in almost every space, more putty marks than you can count and the nail pops are literally visible from across the room. I am horrified to think how difficult it is going to be to paint these walls. THIS is not something a new home owner should even have to think about. Brand new walls that need more putty that you can carry; some of which could only be corrected by tearing the drywall completely out and replacing it. There was obviously very little accountability with the contractors who left this mess behind for YOUR CUSTOMERS to deal with. If all the issues we were “assured” would be taken care of during the final walkthrough had ACTUALLY been completed CORRECTLY in a timely manner, we would likely have a better evaluation to offer. However, from the roof to the front porch we are still waiting, four months into living in our new home. On a final note, if we wrote down all of the issues we have had, it would be a very long list. Therefore, we are not at all happy with the quality of our home purchase at this time. We are giving two stars because the Customer Service Rep -Hirut Tinsae, has done her very best to assist us and is always kind and professional. ... More

My experience with this builder was that I was often told things that were untrue and they were impossibly frustrating to get a hold of. When I agreed to purchase I was told I’d have a fenced in backyard and patio. I ended up with a balcony only. I was told one thing for the downstairs footprint, and reality was different - when I. Asked about it they said they weren’t going to change it to what I was told. They also changed my closing date 3 times after giving me an initial promised date. When I would try to get a hold of them to ask questions, they would not answer unless I physically showed up and caught them in person. The workmanship was fair, not great. I have several items in need of attention from warranty. ... More
