After a rough start, where the finishing touches on the house were rushed and substandard, the warranty team has followed through on nearly all the punchlist items and turned the home into what it should have been when we moved in...a beautiful new home. ... More

It’s a nice house. On the outside, it’s a beautiful 3-car garage home. On the inside, thru technicians that came to the house, I was told our bathroom fixtures were the cheapest on the market and that the wood in the walls is every 24 inches instead of every 16 inches....so hanging up pictures, paintings, TVs, and shelves are challenges. The warranty folks are great and keep you informed. Neighborhood needs gated access. Also, none of the street lights are on on Church St, yet there they stand, and it’s dark at night. ... More

When we moved into the new house, we were generally satisfied with your customer servers: such as finding leakage of water pipes, fault of microwave oven, missing installation of shutters, seepage of water in the basement, termite prevention and other aspects. You responded quickly and sent people to repair and install on site, so we were generally satisfied. The deficiency part is , 1) the garage door has the damage also someone covered with name card to keep out to be noticed , this kind of practice is not quite virtuous, we think this is improper. 2) when the slope protection at the back of the house was checked and accepted, we were told that it was not ... For the most part we're very happy with the house. The appliances are adequate but could be better. After 3 months in the house we're still trying to get window screens for two windows - not major but needs to be resolved. All in all we're happy with the home - it has some nice features and is well built. ... More

Purchasing a new home is exciting, and when you are able to buy one that is newly constructed, it feels like you have a blank canvas. We were excited to move in to our dream home, and we were mostly satisfied with the construction when we closed. I think that maybe we had unrealistic expectations, but the main thing is that the there were some significant differences between the model home and ours in terms of construction. The care that was given to the model home was not the same care given to ours. We had crooked kitchen cabinet handles, cabinet doors that were not installed with precision, our banister was hacked up and fixed with filler, and we had a door jam that was set too wide to hold the door properly. Our dish washer leaked from day 1, and after 4 appointments and more than a month of waiting, we finally got it to work. Recently our doorbell broke and we have some squeaky floorboards. One of the toilets clogged so severely that it had to be replaced-- and the plumber found a cleaning tablet (like a Vanish drop in) stuck in the pipes. We are the first owners, and we have never used them, so that was weird. Century Communities has been responsive in all cases, and although I have had to be very strong advocate for our repairs, everything is coming along. I would have to say, though, that we have had no less than 10-15 appointments in our four months to have things repaired and we are still in the process of getting some of the things fixed. What we love is the layout of our home, the options that we were given for upgrades and even much of the standard features, are quite beautiful. Our construction manager, Joel, has been super attentive, and he always greets us with kindness. He inspires confidence that (eventually) our repairs will be done correctly. I love the neighborhood, our neighbors, and have had a generally pleasant experience with Century. I noted a lot of the construction issues above because that is the area that I wish that there was improvement. I understand that the builders have to meet schedules, but taking a little extra care will make a huge difference to your customers. And in the end, you won't have to spend time or money making repairs for some of the sloppy finishing work. ... More

Century Communities responded:
Elvin, this detailed feedback is exceptional -- highlights the good and the areas we need to improve. We are taking it to heart. We contacted Joel after reading your post and there are two remaining items (a stair cap along with a floor pop repair). The East Garrison neighborhood is something straight out of the movies -- it's iconic and serene. A sincere congratulations, Elvin! ... More

Century provides good value for the purchase price. Builder seems to rush to complete the house. Quality control of sub-contractors could be better. Attention to details in finish work is needed.

We're striving to always improve, as homes are still largely assembled by people. That said, appreciate the time you took to give feedback. Thank you, Barry.

Great community and excellent design of the houses and layout of the site and plan. I like the open concept houses and we love the plans. They are extremely functional and practical for 55+ community. Our sales experience and working with the team during the construction phase was very smooth and we were involved every step of t he way. Quality of workmanship and some materials has room for improvement. these are minor things but collectively leave some not so good impression. Particularly the electrical fittings/sockets installation could be better. ... More

I can understand that the coronavirus pandemic has affected all companies, but we reported the issues a few months back and not much has been fixed. We were told that as soon as workers for different things (tile grout, cabinets etc.) become available the issues would be fixed. They keep building more houses in our community, which means thise workers are back, but our issues haven’t been fixed. Really bad customer service on this front. ... More

Century Communities responded:
Pushminder- Thank you for your patiance during the current conditions we're all going through with the COVID19 epidemic. With regards to seeing the trades building homes and service techs servicing homes. We are still building homes through state/federal guidelines where they have little to no contact with the general public. The service side of bussniss is different as they would generally have direct contact with homeowners. State and federal guidelines are used here as well but also each company has its own response allowing it's personal in someone's home. We are working with the trades to expedite warranty claims as quick as possible. ... More

My only main issue is the communication and getting a timely response. I need a few things done that weren’t completed at closing. I did what the builder said and filled out a water try claim and still haven’t heard back. They wanted me to wait to do the new home evaluation until after they completed the tasks but it’s been almost 5 months. I’m over it. ... More
